There seems to be a bug in Nokia s60 series phones where phones randomly start showing "Low Memory. Please delete some data" messages. While checking the phone-memory usage details, it shows only a few kB memory free and rest of it used, even though it is surely not in use.

The only solution found on Nokia forums is to update firmware/device software on the phone! Well, that doesn't work because even if you have latest firmware installed, you get this message.

The solution I found for this problem is to:

1) Take backup of your phone (e.g. Using Nokia PC Suit software)

2) Soft-reset your phone. (e.g. press keys: *#7370# on standby state in Nokia N73)

3) Restore backed-up data (as in step 1).

This shold solve the problem in most situations. It will take about 5 minutes to follow the procedure described above and you will be able to get your phone in almost same state as before.
