January 12 Truth We see, generally that many things have been accepted by general public - most of human beings but when we try to think about these things little deeper or from a little neutral perspective, we agree with these terms in a little different way. One thing I always enjoy to think about is "Truth". What is truth? Is there such thing? In general terms, truth is accepted as something which most of other people think. For example, we all have accepted "Time". In case of "time", it makes sense to have something which is (or has to be) accepted by everyone for convenience. So is there such thing as "Time"? - Let's leave our minds fly in the area of thoughts - without directly answering it here. So it seems like truth is a personal opinion - either of a person or of general public. But this is truth what we know as truth. Question is - is that real truth? Now, it seems like the search of real "truth" is difficult. Here comes an idea which helps solve the problem a bit - a thought which takes us little further and near to the probable real meaning of this thing called "Truth". Everything around these current thoughts of "truth" have one thing in common and that thing I believe is "relativity". Our thoughts are relative. Truths we accept or reject are relative - the decisions and understanding is relative. But hey, truth can not be relative - truth needs to be absolutely absolute. It needs to be true in any condition anywhere anytime (if there is such thing as time) - so anything relative is not the truth. I feel that a state of mind, which starts thinking in this kind of perspective would help one understand more and reach near the real truth and if this wordic description helps, it's good. हरि ॐ तत् सत् January 09 Buffer OverflowOver flow, over flow, Buffer over flow,
common mistakes everyone makes, buffer over flow!
Hey guys, there is a limit which does exist,
Don't exceed that otherwise you will get over flow!
Over flow creates so many problems,
Makes your program and OS crash crash crash crash crash!
Get satisfied from what you, have got already,
If you demand more and more, result is overflow!
Over flow over flow, buffer over flow,
common mistakes everyone makes, buffer over flow! January 04 Things I like - Swaminarayan SampradayI am feeling a great respect for the Swaminarayan bhagwan and swaminarayan sampraday today. I have not yet gone deep into the culture and the literature of the sampraday but I want to write a few notes about it which gives me pleasure when I think about them.
I feel that whatever Shriji maharaj (a.k.a. Swaminarayan bhagwan) did during his lifetime surely helped change the life I live or enjoy today, as the area of Gujarat was passing through a darkness in that time - when people had become sinners - they were doing all possible bad things and this man came to enlighten their life. The people from swaminarayan sampraday, till today, try to help the community in many possible ways and I can't resist expressing my thankful feeling to them.
Shikshpatri :
-------------
Shikshapatri is a small book (of notes) written by Shriji maharaj where he has written mostly on what to do and what not to do. When I first read it, I felt like it could have been better - I felt it was too specific which I would have liked a more general sort of ideas which can be thought about in various directions. That was my very personal feeling for a short period. When I think even more deeply about it today, I feel that it fits perfectly to many people of general public and especially considering the time when it was written.
I think if we go on road and tell a gangster: "ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते । पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ॥", he might run after us thinking we are saying bad words to him. In short, there is a need of expressing the views in more specific language too and shikshapatri seems to have that done in a very effective way.
Nar-Naarayan concept :
--------------------------
Where there are always "nar" and "narayan", "purush" and "purushottam", "bhakt" and "bhagwan" - meaning there are two actors - one is a human and the other is the God (whatever name(s) you give).
Many other people agree with the same concept. For example, Vinobaa says there is the God, there is us and the rest of the world are things to express our devotion to the God. Swami Krishnananda in his "The teachings of the Bhagvadgita" also agrees on the very same thing.
Of course, thinking about it bit more comes with the concept of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" where the whole world is ONE family and how we are related with every other thing in this world etc...
Akshardhaam concept :
--------------------------
I, personally, strongly feel that Akshardhaam is the ultimate state of mind of a person which has passed the top level of spirituality. Akshar or Akshay - meaning the one which is constant, which can't degrade. (Something similar to Sthit-pragna as in Bhagvadgita or the very same thing). Akshardham - where there is ONE philosophy, one and the only truth, one and complete understanding. Where there are no differentiation - No differenciations of the God, of the people (races, nationalities), areas etc.
---------------
Please note that these are just my views according to my limited understanding. Comments are most welcome. January 03 I want to dance!I want to dance today!
I want to sing loud.
I want to jump in the middle of the road.
I don't want to care what other people think.
But you know what?
When I have a smile on my face,
people are running after me,
to beat me up!
Absolutely crazy people I have seen,
here in Auckland city.
I don't want anyone else
to see.
I hope all can enjoy their freedom
in this world,
without any fear.
I really do - want that. |
